General Information
The board will be supporting a number of activities this year, and we are looking for volunteers to assist with various committees. If you are interested in volunteering please send an e-mail with your name and the name of the committee(s) that you would like to get information about to the CBVA Information Officers.
Social Committee

- Plan, organize, and coordinate social events
- Welcome Back Party
- December Holiday Party and Toys-4-Tots
- Race for the Tiara
- End-of-Year Party
- Pride Participation
- Develop Social Committee Policies and Procedures
Volleyball Logistics Committee
Leaders: Paul Ralifo (Chair), Chris Thomas, Joe Diehl, Erick Nad, Robert Martinez, and Elizabeth Ross
- Ratings
- Clinics including securing Coaches
- Maintaining Equipments including First Aids
- Develop/Update Forms
- Coordinate the Indoor Volleyball Play for All Sessions
- Coordinate the Outdoor Volleyball Play
- Coordinate the Ogunquit Beach Volleyball Play
- Develop Volleyball Logistics Policies and Procedures
Boston Beantown Classic Tournament / Tournament Committee
Leaders: Robert Martinez (Co-Chair), Erick Nad (Co-Chair), Marcelo Juica, Ed Ruiz, and Adrian DeFante
- Coordinate the Boston Beantown Classic Tournament
- Coordinate the Indoor Tournaments for All Sessions
- Develop Tournament Committee Policies and Procedures
By-Laws / Policies and Procedures Committee
Leaders: Elizabeth Ross (Co-Chair), Al Forbes, Joe Diehl, and David Gillum
- Develop the Policy and Procedure Manual
- Update CBVA By-Laws (as needed)
Communication
Leaders: David Gillum (Chair), Ed Ruiz, and Paul Ralifo
- Respond to e-mails sent to the CBVA Secretary address
- Manage the CBVA Membership List
- Facilitate and maintain communication with the CBVA Board and League
- Determine most appropriate mode/medium/media of communication
- Develop Communication Committee Policies and Procedures
Finance
Leaders: Al Forbes (Chair), Ed Ruiz, Joe Diehl, Robert Martinez, and Erick Nad
- File appropriate tax documents
- Meet with appropriate professionals for tax purposes and to become a non-profit sports group according to IRS Code 501(c)(7)
- Support the Treasurer in maintaining fiscal documents and reports
- Fundraising Events
- Develop Finance Committee Policies and Procedures
Audit
Leaders: Elizabeth Ross (Non-Voting), Guy Ronen, and John Forcier
- Develops audit policies and procedures
- Conducts financial and operations audits on a regular schedule
- Performs additional audits as requested by the Board of Directors.
- Conducts an audit of the results of the annual election of the Board of Directors.
