Volunteering @ CBVA

Did you know CBVA currently offers 6 sessions of play, rates members skill levels, sends out timely newsletters, organizes 5 annual tournaments, 5 annual parties and events, and gives members access to skill building clinics? Did you also know our league is ran on $0 overhead cost?

But how!? CBVA’s success continues because members of our community collectively come together to plan, implement, and execute programming as we try to meet the needs of our members.

The result of this passion has led to more volleyball and a bigger community!

Below is a list of the many areas for members to get involved:

Court Managing

Court Managers usually work in pairs.

One court manager signs people in, the other collects money, and the two collectively put teams together as they try to coordinate positions and skill levels to create a balanced, fun and competitive session!

Events Volunteers

Volunteers at our social and charity events can help with reserving venues, selecting catering/menus, advertising, selling tickets, and more!

Newsletter Editors

Newsletter editors assist with identifying key announcements, collecting photography from tournaments/events, and writing articles for the newsletter.

Tournaments Volunteers

Tournament volunteer tasks can include: helping maintain rosters, signing teams in, keeping time at the tournament, calculating seeding, put together goodie bags, and other tasks as needed.

Outdoor Volunteers

Our summer league meets 3 times a week. Volunteers usually help set up/take down nets and put teams together at our outdoors location.

Clinics Volunteer

Running clinics can require assistance with taking attendance, coordinating coach payment, collecting payments from attendees, and more.
