Hello CBVA Community,

This past weekend we kicked off our first session of the 2025-2026 indoor season!

We wanted to give a brief recap of our thoughts on the initial membership sales and session signups, some changes we are planning short-term, and next tranches of membership sales:

  1. Initial Membership Sale and Session Signups
    • We’re overall quite happy with the pace and distribution of initial membership sales. We reached our cap of 300 total memberships ~2 hours after they opened this past Thursday, with 225 memberships sold to those qualifying for Early Access in the initial tranche.
    • Overall, the first session signups seem to have a comfortable distribution with some sessions selling out and some still having some space. We will keep an eye on this as we currently have a number of unrated players to sort through that will impact how sessions sell out once they’re rated.
    • We have a new, dedicated page for Membership info here.
  2. Planned Changes
    • As of next week, we are planning to change Saturday 3 to mirror Sunday D/Rec session. There will be no cap on unrated players and, though 5-1 will be encouraged, no knowledge of rotations is required. This should give an additional opportunity for our new or unrated players to have play time while we work through ratings.
    • Saturday 3 will also be limited to two courts (5 teams/30 people) for the foreseeable future due to CBVA clinics being run on Court 3.
  3. Next Membership Sales
    • Our short-term plan is to see how session sales shake out over the next 2-4 weeks as we do ratings clinics, tournaments pick up, etc. to let some of the dust settle and then reevaluate session availability for our next tranches of membership sales. With these sales, our first priority is to ensure we’re utilizing as much of our capacity as possible for Early Access players, with a secondary goal of filling all sessions.
    • Click here to sign up to hear directly about future opportunities to purchase a 2025-2026 season membership.
    • Currently, we have clear availability for players in A/AA sessions. Thus, if you had a prior rating of 70+ (CBVA A/AA), you can purchase a membership in Team Arrange at 7pm Eastern on Thursday, September 18. We’ll add ~25 new memberships this way.
      • If you are new to CBVA and have a yankee B- rating, NAGVA BB, or other relevant experience that would enable you to play in our highest rating sessions, please refer to Ratings | CBVA and we can facilitate purchase of a membership for you.
  4. Friday League
    • Friday night league starts this upcoming Friday! Captains and teams – keep an eye out for an email with further details. Play starts at 6:30pm, and each captain (or other team representative) should be there 15 minutes early at 6:15pm .

Best,

CBVA Board
